Hey guys. Anyone ever tried to remove diesel fuel stains from paint? Is it possible? I have an 01 white silverado, and apparantly the previous owner was pretty sloppy when he filled the fuel tank. The trim is yellow, so I ripped it off and the paint underneath is stained yellow really bad. Is there any way to remove the fuel stain or should I just cover it up with new molding? I was thinking I would like to remove all the molding, but if there is no way to remove the yellow stain from the paint, I guess I have no choice, right??

i would try some sort of cleaner wax or a 3 step system that includes a rubbing compound, polishing compound, and a final step product(wax,sealent,glaze)
