Fuel Return Line

Where? There is alot of fuel return lines on our truck. I've never measured it, but I'd assume less than 3 PSI or it would blow up our plastic fuel tank.
What consequences are there for restricting the return line flow or issues with a plugged return line?
Got a friend with a truck that stutters at times and someone suggested to him that there may be a fuel restriction in the return line. I don't understand that logic but then again, I don't know all the ins-and-outs of these trucks so who knows. He visually checked things and says he found a line that looks a bit kinked (soft line). that's why I need to know what size the main return line is going back to see if that's it. Should he decide to replace said line, and if it is in fact a fuel return line, is there any benefit to increasing or decreasing the line size? Just trying to think ahead...
