I Dont know if this is the right thread or night to post but anyways, My 2001 lb7 threw a engine code said fuel pressure regulator 1 performance. Now every since it did that when I start my truck and start to drive the truck feels like its not making any power and I have to floor it to get up to the speed limit and it is still very slow getting up there. The turbo isnt spooling but to about 8-10 psi max and the engine rpms are very high and I can just hear the engine screaming. The weird thing is that when I come to a stop sign after 20 minutes driving like this when I take off it runs fine.
I talked to my friends dad who is a diesel mechanic and he said change the fuel pressure regulator and that should be it, but I dont want to fork out 150$ if thats not the real problem. Anyone else have similar problems or know why the truck does this?

It wouldn't be a shocker if it was the FPR. On these trucks a 150 dollar repair is getting lucky lol. Just time consuming to get to it. Three torx bolts hold it in that's it.

You should find someone with a quality scan tool or EFI Live that can log fuel pressure. Sounds like pressure isn't rising correctly at first.
