Well I have another thing to add to my list of shit messing up on my truck. For some reason my truck run's out of fuel now around a 1/4 tank without the lift-pump on. If I turn the LP on it will continue to run, but if you try and get on it at all it drops LP psi down to 0. I cannot race it if it's under 1/2 tank or the LP psi will bottom out and effect RP. Does anyone else have this problem?
And for the record, I have trippin's pick up in it and was very careful on the measurment from the bottom of tank to the pick-up. The only thing I can think of is that the fuel has to be above that big round cup in the tank or it will not suck enough fuel.

Hell, Who knows, I've hurt a little "Ford Pride" at the track a few times:D Good point though.

It's probably the canister, There's a little crack pipe looking tube that put's fuel back in the canister when under a 1/4 tank. I found it in the bottom of the tank when I did the Mod, must have fallin out again.

Time to put on your flip-flops and slide under the truck again ;)

I'm never gonna live that pic down. Thanks Chris;) You pop in and outta here at the perfect times don't ya:D
I will not be crawling under it to remove the tank again. I believe removing the bed is much easier. Atleast I hope.

Isn't it just a 15mm socket with an extension and a 5/16" nut driver???

Leave the bed on ;)

Hmmm? You are correct on the tooling. It was just such a pain in the ass to try and get the tank back into position by myself. Figured sliding the bed back and just popping out the sending unit would be easier. I'll asses the situation before i start. Besides it's a few rows down on my list of things to be fixed:eek:
