Hey all just asking no problems; What are you guys and gals getting for as mileage goes? Highway and City and mixed. As you can see in my Sig, I would think I could get some good mileage out of this truck but 19mpg seems to be all I can get and even less in town. I know this is a Duramax sight but my Cummins did better on mileage just looking to improve it some.
Thanks Jim C

I've been doing some checks recently with mixed driving. I'm at 17 - 18 mpg but the CAN gallon is a bit bigger than yours (4.45 litres/gallon) (I know more useless units lol).

Mind you that I'm not conservative and much of that is with blue smoke coming off the tires or the truck just hanging to adhesion on the on ramps ;)

5 speed only too.

You are right the H2 wheels and 285 BFG-Ats are a little bigger and heavier.

So does my tire shop :roflmao: I'm going to grow up with the new trans though.

Another mileage consideration is that we are just coming off winter fuel so things should be better.

My truck averages 18-19mpgs also. The last time I did a hwy only check was awhile ago and that was after I had my intake on only. Then it got a solid 21 mpgs. I would like to do it again with the rest of my mods on and see what it gets. To me these numbers seem good, especially campared with the 3.8L gasser in the wifes minivan!

TX of course
I have a tune posted in the library that I have hit 22mpg on. That with my daily commute ~60mph to work and about ~40mph in traffic on my way home. I have 285s on H2s and only lost 0.5mpg over my POYs.

My LLY got 17-21 mpg, no matter how much I was in the the throttle I could do no worse than 17 that was with 305's BFG a/t on aluminum 16x8's and stock height.

My LMM gets 14-16mpg, can be as lower as well, driving habits really have an impact. Thats with a 6" fabtech lift, 20"s and 34" BFGs. But its been getting better as I've got more miles on it.

Winter: 12-14.5 4WD
Summer: 15-18 2WD

Both of those are commuting, speeds from 65-75.
The low numbers are when I start having too much fun!

That is also Alaskan diesel which has a lower wax content, your winter diesel is our summer diesel.

I am running just about everything stock in my 08. In a recent trip of 2wd paved two lane, 4wd dirt/mud, and 2wd freeway I got a mixed mileage of 17.1. Not towing anything that is.

Wherever I am working
With the tune in my sig. I just hand calc 26.225 mpg with an estimated avg. speed of 72. 337 miles and 12.85 gal to top it off. Tail wind for all but 20 miles so far.
I normally avg 19+ on this entire trip.
