Fuel Mileage

My fuel mileage is horrible, 12-13 mpg in town since twins and duel fueler, I really didn't care up until now, my truck is now the family wagon since my wifes car is now a 2 seater. Anyway, what tables would be a starting point to bring up the mileage a little.


Don't tell me a lighter right foot please I already know that.

Larry, what kind of timing/boost/fuel pressure are you running @ cruise speeds?

cruise speeds I get 18-19 mpg, its stop and go traffic thats killing me now, low timing, moderate pw and fuel pressure though

My D-Max is stock and I get 14-15 mpg in stop/go traffic.

Otherwise I get 16-17 in town and 21-22 on the highway.

id say around 13 is not too far off, like you said foot has alot to do with stop and go :thumb: bumped timing and pressure with lower boost seems to have worked decent with me...but this seems to be a pretty wide topic of success stories of what works also!

Also you can try and mod your throttle base injection quantity some to fuel more down low which makes the trans shift at lower RPM's and keep your RPM's down when you are driving it easy. This helped my BURB out by a BUNCH.
