LB7: Fuel lines

This may be a toughy.

Need the formed fuel lines from the metal inlet to the filter housing, filter housing to the FICM, and FICM to the test port. Also, if the return is a formed line, I'll need that too.

I had to cut all of them to get them off, and with 165,000 miles, I figured it'd be smart to just replace them anyway.

Also, what NAPA fuel line can I use for the straight runs in the valley?

Tom IMO I wouldnt bother trying to track down the formed fuel lines. Regular old fuel line will work fine.

the Gates 'fuel line' from NAPA works fine for diesel. I think its 5/8" dia??? Might be wrong on that.

Thanks Ben, but Id rather not have "kinks" in the lines, thats why I want to replace formed with formed, and I hate huge "loops" of hose.

Glad the regular fuel hose is diesel-rated, though. That'll make some of the job easier.

Simon, thanks for the advice. After looking at the lines again, I think the bends arent quite as severe as I thought, and I can make something else work like what you said. Nice talking to you.

4 is the "s" curve hose I remembered to the Schrader valve. 1/4" hose. So if someone can look that one number up for me, it'd be appreciated.


In the GM diagram, they are numbers 3,4,5, 22 and 29. The schrader valve isnt shown.

Yeah, I saw that. All the rest of those lines are between $5-10. Typical GM.

It was listed as a "cold start fuel feed" hose. Makes a person wonder what that schrader valve was originally designed for.
