Need some ideas and pics of what people have done to eliminate the stock steel supply and return fuel lines on top of the engine. For the supply is there a option besides replacing the line all the way to the tank?? And for the return how do u eliminate the hard line and utilize the fuel temp. Sensor. Or can u eliminate it. This is All on a Lly?

On Abby which is an LB7, IIRC Simon ran 3/4" SS fuel line from the pump to the engine bay. Mostly cuz this is just what he had available for free at the time. Myself I would run 5/8" aluminum pipe for weight reasons.
This went to a fuel distribution block for the cp3's pressure gauge and a bleeder.
On the return side he did the same with a main manifold that everything returns to and then used the stock supply line to return fuel to the tank as it is also bigger than the stock return.
Also all hoses were replaced with braided stainless with SAE connections everywhere possible.
The only filter is the one off the lift pump but this is a race truck. I would buy a filter base that fits CAT 1R-0750 filters and put that inline to replace the stock housing for a DD.
For most all trucks, you could do it the same way, only difference is how it's plumbed under the hood.
Also don't forget about the fuel pick-up in the tank. You will want to make it larger too as well as the plumbing to the lift pump.
Not sure but I don't believe he uses a fuel temp anymore. Also there is nothing cooling the FICM and it has been relocated off the engine as well.

Ok well I run two lift pumps one for each cp3 with a equalizer in the center I do this cause I had them laying around so why not. What is the banjo fitting size on the ficm?? What about the codes for the temp sensor?? Should I just turn them off in efi?? Also I have been getting a high fuel temp code. Is this a issue???

is simon still using the fuel cooler? or did he delete that also. i would like to run one line but the cooler has those quick connect fittings and they are also very small will shrinking it down for the cooler than back up defeat the purpose???

I honestly don't recall. I don't believe he does though.
It may slow it down a little but there honestly is not that much fuel flowing back that would be affected by the cooler. At least not enough IMO to cause any performance issues unless your CP3, FPRV or injectors are bad and have lots of leakage back to return.
In a race or puller truck, you don't really need the cooler. It was designed for long distance driving. Thats why it doesn't have a fan.
