Hello, my 02 is telling me my tank is empty when I have used 10 miles of a full tank. Is the level sensor available separate from the whole sending unit? If anyone has a part number or information it would be appreciated. Thank you.

As a point to consider, RockAuto has the OEM fuel sender for $233, vs. $128 for just the level sensor. The flex hoses tend to crack over time, so it is worth considering replacing the whole unit, IMO. I had to replace the one in my truck when the suction hose cracked and it started pulling air at 1/4 tank. It would suck to replace just the level sensor then have to replace the whole thing a few months later.
This is true as I am having the same problem with my 01 s10 beater. Runs great until 1/4 tank then the fuel pressure start fluctuating. Just haven't felt like dropping the tank
Don’t even have to. Take all the bolts out of the driver side and loosen the passenger off till just a few threads left and lift the driver side up till you have room.
I just pulled my tank to install the Kennedy billet pickup.
Dropping the tank is easy. It's the reinstalling it part that'll get you all sorts of angry.
If I have to do it again, I'll figure out some way to lift the bed (don't have a lift or overhead crane), because that'll surely be easier than trying to reinstall that damn tank.
The beds aren't that heavy. I replaced the one on my truck with 3 friends, but I recommend 4 friends. 2 people on each side can lift it off easily, plus one more person to get the filler neck in/out without catching. When I did it, I pulled double duty lifting the front left of the bed AND fishing the filler neck in/out. Not fun, but it can be done.
If you just want to tilt it up as pictured above, grab a couple friends, 2 of you lift one side, and the 3rd person blocks it up with some wood or something.

If you decide to drop the tank, for god's sake use some common sense and do it with only a couple gallons left in it.
Also, make sure you go buy a gas tank strap hardware kit beforehand. Dorman 55157 --- trust me on this, esp if you're in the rust belt.
