LBZ: Fuel guage reading wrong

On my 06 my fuel guage reads right at 10 gallons short. Ie my dic will tell me i have used 16 gallons and my fuel guage will show empty, I'll put in another 16 and its full. Ive also ran it down and filled up with 25.6xx gallons so i know my fuel used reading is correct. Its not a function problem its just an ocd thing. Anybody know how to fix this? Im thinking either stepper motor or sending unit

Im assuming you have to drop the tank or raise the bed for that? It works great til it hits e at 10 useable gallons left

Have someone read out the tune and see if the fuel level sending unit settings are correct.

my sender just went out two months ago for my fuel tank. i threw a spare good cluster i had in it really quick to see if it was my stepper motor, nope.

it would read good till 1/2 tank, then it would like stick, move, bounce when the truck hit bumps, and would show i had way more fuel than i actually had. new sender fixed it.

wish i could tell ya which is wrong on yours. does your gauge show like half tank when full?

It functions like normal, but just reads empty too soon like it had a larger tank swapped in. What josh said makes sense. But I'm not sure why it would be tuned for a 16 gallon tank.. Thanks for the responses everybody

This is normal my light comes on at around 17 gals used
U can change the calibration with efi live
I need to do mine but I'm waiting till my lift shows up so I can run it out and see how much it will pick up

My light comes on after I've used about 21 gallons.
