My fuel gauge is not reading correctly, when all the way full it only reads 3/4 full. I checked the tune I am running against my stock tune and the fuel tank settings are all the same. Anyone have any ideas?? -Jeff

My fuel gauge went bad at 22,000 miles, it would stick around 3/4 tank and not move down. I was told by the dealer this is a common problem for these trucks, so it could very well be the gauge not your tune. My speedometer also broke shortly after.... twice. I'm a huge fan of Chevy gauges. Oh, and if it is your fuel gauge, make sure the dealer reinstalls your tank property. I got a couple of miles away and heard something start dragging....turns out it was only my diesel tank!!

how much is this gonna cost me? I cant believe that the gauge itself would go bad. maybe the sending unit? If it is the gauges and I replace the cluster would that fix it? -Jeff

I had the SU go out on mine. It was reading higher than it should've. Towing a 20' box tailer w/ about 200 miles on the tank and it said I had 3/4 left.........I wish.

If you played with the settings in EFI live at all it will do this if you're off anywhere in the setting. I played with it last week and ran into the same issue. Next time my tank is empty and my pump is full I will try and get readings on a fill up to adjust the #'s closer. I haven't checked further but down in the setting there is a value that drops it down but I dont remember. I'll check more into it when I cna get the other comp out.
