What is the size of the fitting coming out of the Cp3 with a hard line going to the rail? I couldnt get a crowfoot or anything else around it the other today and I found a tool at autozone that might work perfect. Its for a ford o2 sensor... Anyone know if its the same size as the fuel fitting?

do a search on here for a diy cp3 kit, and look for posts by volker. IIRC he, posts what that fitting is and it's some odd ball fitting that you likely won't find at the local line shop.

I'll do that. Hopefully that wrench I found will work though, a flarenut socket is like $30 I think

EDIT: who is Volker? Is he SuperDiesel?

You asking about the nut that holds the line to the fitting, or the actual fitting that screws into the pump? The nut on the line takes a 19 mm. I think the fitting is a 17, but I can't remember that one for sure. Either way, it's metric.

Yes the nut.. I think its 17mm now. I only have up to 18mm corwfoot wrenchs and I remember I had one that would fit, just not enough room to turn it. All I need to do is loosing that nut so I can move the line out of the way so I can remove and port the fuel fitting..

You know, I was just thinking that. I forgot the nut on the new line that is used with my dual CP3 setup is a different size. 19 and 17 are the only two sizes the Duramax uses on the high pressure fuel lines, and I think the fitting is a 14 instead of a 17.

Could be. idk, but the question is what size does is a ford o2 sensor on 4.6, or 5.0? I know everyone on this site is a closet Ford Boy, shed some light :joker:
