I think atf was/is an old school additive that you can use. It is supposed to be good for your injectors iirc. I've used primrose before it seemed pretty good, Mike L. sells it and mught have some better info on it

I'll use power service brand stuff every once and a while, put a can of sea-foam in the tank yesterday, good stuff

I use AMSOIL and RBP addative. My truck runs alot quieter with the ams and gets about 2mpg better. I put alot of miles on my trucks and havetried them all. Redline 85+ is another good one.

When I bought my Tahoe many moons (and several computers) ago, I religiously logged my mileage. I did a 6-tank each comparison between no additive and PS and convinced myself that the mileage gain alone made the additive essentially free. This calculation was done at 1999 diesel prices of what, $1.60?

With the additional worries we have with 6.5 pump life, it was a no-brainer to continue using an additive. I no longer have the records to share what the exact mpg differences were (the computer thing) but that is my story and I'm sticking with it.

I now run the Kennedy FPPF cocktail in both trucks and have no complaints. My 6.5 got it's 3rd fuel pump at 59,000 miles, has been run with additive ever since, and the truck is now approaching 170,000 on that 3rd pump....YMMV, YYY....
