Front Transfer case Leak?

Front axle leak?

While installing my steering stabilizer today I noticed a small amount of what looked like motor oil on the front driver's side axle. It looks like it originated from the shaft area then ran to the bottom of the case then dripped on to the skid plate. It was a minor amount and I could not actually see where it came from. Does this look like it could be leaking? I wiped it off and cleaned it so I could recheck it in a week or so. The pic is looking at the bottom up with the shaft going towards the drivers side.

Shouldn't be motor oil if its all the way back on transfer case.

Thanks man, I was standing on my head looking at the computer trying to figure out what we were looking at.
Makes sense why the oil looks dark brown and not red as well.:thumb:

I would say light seapage. Did someone just change oil and maybe overfill the differential with oil?

only has 12k miles on her. Oil has been changed once around 8k.

If it's anything like the older trucks, the oil runs out all over the front drive shaft yoke when the oil filter is changed. Could be left over from that.

^^^ That's what I was thinking. The LML's dump oil on the front diff usually with a filter change.
