Ouch! I hit a pothole pretty hard 45 - 50 mph on the interstate pulling my camper, i couldnt get in the left lane cause a semi was there but everything seemed ok until i drove it the next day. I figured upper balljoint but i took it to the shop and they found some other stuff wrong. I went and looked @ it so it is legit just the price seems high! passenger side wheel bearing, idler and pitman arm, alignment, and upper ball joint for about $ 1200! I dont a place to do what i can to save the money so dont have much choice but i was just wondering if u guy's thought they were overcharging me? thanks

You can get those parts for ~$500 but they're prolly closer to charging $6-700. IDK what the book calls for on the labor for all that but it'll be no less than 4 hrs I'm sure so that's $250-400 for labor. Doesn't seem like they're gouging you excessively, just the nature of paying shop rates & labor.

You could save half probably buying & installing yourself.

Thanks man! that makes it a little easier, you're about right on the money i dont know what the parts cost or the alignment by itself but they said 4.3 hrs @ $90 for labor, id do it myself with my bro but i have no room and he lives about 20 miles out, that bearing is preety bad im suprised it didnt give me more trouble than it did !

if they only want 4.3 hours at 90 bucks, they are raping you on parts. id go pick up my own and have them put them on. 800 for parts is rediculous.

Parts wise, you shouldnt be lookin at no more than 500-550 bucks. That shop is definitly on the way high side.
