at the track friday night, as i was in the staging lights boosting up, after about 10lbs i could start to hear and feel a "poping" "creaking" "binding" sound from the front end, sounded like its mainly coming from the front/driver side. lauched it and for about the first 60' for so it contunined to do it then stoped. any ideas whats going on?
i spent most of last night screening through any thread that i could find on it but most are saying its cuz their leving kit and no sleeves, i got a 4" tuff-country lift 35" tires, front was dropped as low as the keys would allow it to go down (angles were good and flat) and i has Super-Diesel sleeves on...

just looking for some insight before i start throwing money at parts..

Super diesel and evil arc make great brace kits.

Gona look into them, any idea on their cost?

Somehow my passanger side sleeve backed itself off a good bit, pulled it back off and re-counted turn's lock-tighted the Sleeve, held a 4wd brake boost tell 25psi without poping. Might have been my problem but not sure just yet.

Tried the track again tonight, still no good.
Everything in the front is good as far as I can tell. But in 4wd is still pops, (even just giving it half throttle up the road in 4hi) could I have a CV axel stripping or something? It really sounds/feels like its skipping gears/teeth or something?

Pull your front wheels and grab the top and bottom of the rotor. If there is back and forth movement then it could be a bad wheel bearing in the hub assembly. Maybe hook the truck to something you cant move and put a bind on it with the truck in 4 wheel drive and get someone to look around underneath. Could be in the front end or the t-case. I would suspect a cv-joint or hub first.

ive checked wheel bearings and their good
also had 4 buddies watch underneath as i brakeboosted in 4WD and had it poping and they say they didnt see anything out of the place doing it.
could it be the front diff/cv axel skipping teeth?
or the front pinion skipping?

Could be the front diff locking mechanism. The shift fork or sleeve that engages can strip and wear out if i'm not mistaken. All Season Diesel sells a heavy duty one.
