How many have broken them??

I just broke mine doing a 4 hi boosted launch. Bad thing is it hit my turbo oil line and cut it:mad: and I drove it home like that:mad:  . Good thing is it was only 500 yards or slow at idle speed. Hope I didnt hurt my turbo any.

I had about 10 psi built up and when I launched it broke where the shaft welds to the yoke on the front diff. Its an easy fix I will only be out how much a new oil feed line is.

The shaft doesnt have me worried, it the turbo. It prolly wasnt getting much oil, although it wasnt working either (idled it home).

I think for now I am just going to grind it down and weld it back together. Funds are getting tight.

Simon interesting you should say that, I am running 35s. I dont have tie rod sleeves either. I guess the bigger tires really are hard on the shaft.

The only thing that I haven't broke yet. Now I can add that to the list of what's next. Sorry it happened on your B'day. Sounds like you were celebrating in style though. Please let us know where it broke at and how it hit the turbo oil line?

Broke where shaft weld to yoke on the front diff side of things. The end of the shaft then proceeded to hit my Aux. oil feed line to the turbo (it comes out in the filter housing area. I think it hit that line its dark here and theres oil all over the place.

I will take some pics tom.
