Just like the title says, after work I noticed that there was a little bit of oil running off my driver's side inner fender. I followed the vent hose up from the front diff and there was oil at the end. It is gear oil. I will check the level tommorow when I have light again. Any idea what could have caused it? It's the original fluid with about 44 000 km on it. I haven't been driving any differently, and the truck hasn't gone through any deep water ever. Is there anything I should check? Thank you.

Daniel:(

Well, When mine did this last winter, I had one hub that would not disengage and it stayed locked until the shaft broke and all the bearings welded themselves together. Then it overheated and ralphed oil out the vent and past the seals.

Hope this isn't what happenend to you-unless it is covered by warranty like mine was.

You're scaring me Dale. I jacked the truck up today, and both front wheels turned freely. Fluid level seems ok. Is it possible something temporarily plugged the vent and it presured up, then blew a bunch of shat out of there?
