front bumper spacing?

ive heard of some people spacing their front bumpers out some so they can clear bigger tires a little better. can anyone tell me how you are doing this. thanks

which brackets? the ones on the outside by the foglights? i already did that, it doesnt do shit.

No you have to remove the whole bumper. Once you have the bumper on the floor you will see the brackets. I think I used 4 washers before you run out of thread with the factory bolts.

I removed my bumper when changing my tranny lines last week. On my GMC there were 4 bolts that go from the top down in the center of the bumper (2 per frame rail), and then two (one each) at the outter edges by the fog light.

Unless I'm missing something (quite possible), if you space the two outer ones out you will not get the middle bolts in.....

Am I missing something?
