Wow! Looks sooo good. I wish did something a little more flashy and stand out-ish. That is going to look so nasty when put together! X2 on what Tim said about polished comp covers. That'd be trick for sure. Not to insult you...but make sure you take a wiz wheel to the points of contact on the alternator bracket where it touches the block, both on the bracket side and block(if you paint it like I did!) and where the alt meet the bracket. For ask me how I know this...still beat myself up every time I look out the window of my house at my truck for being an IDIOT. Keep the pics of the progress rolling:woott: congrats so far!

Why clean points of contact?? Ground or something??

YES! The block gets it (8 or so) grounds to the chasis through the ring terminals that bolt the block(Why the block cant be painted on those location). The Alt. gets it ground through the bracket via the point of contact where the bolts anchor it to the block....I think its three bolts if my young memory serves me correct. The alt bolts where it "pinches" the alternator on the bracket gets it ground throught the bracket hence completing the circuit. I chased this for two weeks trying to figure out why the hell my trucks alternator wouldnt charge the system. It woud run off of another vehicle though. Hope this saves some heart ache. Its soooo easy to get to thrashing and overlook the small silly details. Been there, done that
