freshening up a converter

Whats the going rate for refreshening a converter? I have a 5 star now.

Not many converter shops will touch an ATS.

I figured it would prob be best to just get a new one thats not purple.

I ran an ATS 5 star for a long while with a PPE trans kit and loved that setup. That converter locked up great and treated me well. I wouldn't run an ATS full trans or their clutches but I have no complaints about their converters.

I got mine rebuilt at a local spot for a couple hundred...this was a handful of years ago now. It had approx. 50K on it when I had it rebuilt and I put another 40K or so it in before I sold the truck. Last I heard that trans is still running strong.

Just going with a 1054. Don't have time to send this off and trans is getting rebuilt so I just bought another. Don't have the heart to give this good converter to you guys for a $200 core.
