My truck was on the receiving end of hail damage last Saturday, insurance adjuster looked at it today, and we will just say its getting a new paint job, cowl hood, and maybe paint the plastic on the front bumper. I need some oponions on what to do, I would like to do a two tone with the current color, and maybe a silver or charcoal, and was thinking about breaking it at the upper body line. If any of you remember, I had a thread on the dp about 3 years or so ago, when I restored it then(was an old oilfield truck). Anyways this is how it sits now, give me ur thoughts

The pic in my sig, was the day after I got it back from the body shop, and the wheels were still black chrome, now they are powdercoated gloss black(damn midwest winters were hard on them)

Dang Riley that sucks! I saw some nasty stuff went through there after I left. Is it dinged quite a bit?

I think two tone would be cool. Maybe like the new silver they put on the 11 and 12's/Camaro. I do agree on paint matching the door handles and maybe the mirrors. I would do the front two plastic pieces for sure. You could even do the fender flares!

I like that, but am thinkin silver or gray on top, and maybe an orange breaking the two up. I have a week or two before it goes into the body shop to decide. its also getting cab corners and rockers as well

Same concept, just picture the red, blue instead.. bright Silver middle stripe with 1/16 pinstripes and factory charcoal on the top

I think you need to upgrade to those 24's as well:D

All joking aside I think that layout with your blue would look killer:thumb:

i would do something with the handles, emblem and mirrors-paint match. Than split it with a silver pinstripe with black as your other tone. JMO black would match your fender flares. and bumper

I plan to color mathch the handles and mirrors, not for sure on the bumpers yet, I also thought about painting the flares, but they will chip to easy. Also where can I find a good billet grille, I dont want a bolt over insert neither

Have paintable door handles and tailgate bezel, does anyone know if the aftermarket makes a smooth bumper cap for the front, or am I stuck sanding it? Also havent had much luck finding the grille I want neither

ok found the grille I want, carriage works (the cut model), next question keep the rear bumper or do a roll pan? If i went with a roll pan, I would assume a different reese hitch would be needed, and would it be located behind the rear liscense plate. Spare tire is gone already. Sorry for all the questions, just looking for others opinions. Thanks Riley

I have bought the paintable front bumper covers for my GMC. Not sure if the Chevy offers the same thing. Any aftermarket company should be able to tell ya.
