Would anyone at or over the age of 55 be interested in a free mobile home? its an older home that needs some fixing up that was left to us when the previous owners children decided they didn't want to put any time/money into it after their parent passed away. all you would have to do to live there is paint the exterior of the home (its a 12x60) and possibly add tie down (not sure if needed yet or not) and pay the rent ($460 a month). its a year round mobile home park in south jersey only about 10 minutes from the beaches.

home is from the late 60's and the appliances and flooring are original. heater would most likely need to be replaced/serviced (they were summer people so they never used it and im scared to turn it on). If you have time to put into it this could be a sweet little full time or summer home with some elbow grease.

If anyone is seriously interested in the home i would be happy to explain everything about it at length and take pictures. thanks:)

rent depends a lot on the area and park, basically how it works at a mobile home park is you buy a home and then just pay rent on the lot and the home is always yours to resell. For this area $460 (made a mistake in the original post sorry) is what we feel to be a good/fair price. we are under rent control here so the rent can only legally be raised the amount of the tri-state social security CPI for seniors per year.

here in jersey in a resort area like this the rent is a lot more then you would find generaly somewhere in FL or an interior state. and the fact that we in jersey are taxed to hell doesn't help that number either :(

Lol well we don't consider ourselves a resort by any means that's the area we live in. When my grandpop built the park ( bare hands, flashlight in the middle of the night type stuff) his goal was to make it not like a trailer park but more like a little village. We have a lot of trees, sidewalks, and big lots. I don't want to toot my own horn or anything but in my opionion it was designed/looks good. He didn't get greedy with the space availabe and it shows when you look through the park

sweet man, we don't allow sub renting (too hard to enforce the rules) but i'm glad it worked out for you. a lot of people really don't realize how nice a lot of trailers are and can be with a little effort
