Okay so I attempted to shim my FPRV on my 05 lly this weekend. Didn't happen.

Had three grown men on a cheater pipe and one holding the wrench on the valve. Never budged.

Is there a trick to getting this thing out???

Worst case remove the rail and do it on a bench

I have had luck with sticking a pry bar under the rail and double wrenching them though

Mine wasn't that tough. I had to cheater it but it gave right away. Race valve in now and running strong. I had no idea how bad my fueling was with fprv opening at WOT until the race valve went in. Whole different animal.

I alway take a 18 and hold it on with a big pry bar and then a 3-4 foot pipe and usually always comes loose

Hit the wrench with a small sledge or you can fit a small impact in there if you take the GPC bracket off.

I must have been lucky I got mine without a cheater of any sort or even taking the gpc off on my 05 sounds like your going to need the impact.

The smaller Snap on/Matco ones will work. I never used an impact, just heard of other guys having success with them.
I prefer the 5 pound sledge hammer method and a wrench.
