I pulled tonight and I got a P0087 code half way down the track, still managed to get 2nd. My problem is I have 3 pulls this weekend. I'm not familiar with the shims but someone at the pull said a machinist could make them. If so anyone know the measurements? My fuel filters are fairly new but I will change them just to be sure if I can cross refernce the Fass filters somewhere. Any other suggestions?

I'm sure they are the same as an LBZ. I put 3 washers in mine! Hardest part is getting the valve out but after that it's smooth sailing!

Im not positive there the same on lmm?
but get it apart and the machinest could build a shim for you
Thanks for the thread, I'm a little leary taking that apart, if I screw something up I'm really screwed.

I'm positive an LBZ is the same but is the LLY? Does your vlave look like the thread Sweet Diesel posted of MCrats LLY?

LLY is the same as an LBZ except the stock cracking pressure on the LLY is less. They are interchangeable.

If you swapped the turbo.....you can do this:)

Once you get it apart,All you are doing is installing a shim to make the spring tighter
a machnist could do it .........no problom

Like I said, the hardest part is getting the Mother Father out of the fuel rail, after that it's quite simple-just don't lose any pieces and remember how it came apart!

Its a cake walk compared to the other installs you have done, 20 min tops, or 45 mins if there's beer.

yeah you could do that or just buy the $10 ppe shims...it's a job to break it loose but if you have a vice and a punch putting the shims in takes like 3 min at the most then 5 to take it out and put it back in

Thanks guys, went to BR Powersource in Oakville and he put the shims in for me for $50, I was very happy with that. Leaving for the pulls now, hopefully that fixes it.
