What do all of you remove get to the LLY frp. I am using AllData's instrucitions and its saying to remove the electrical connectors and brackets on the left side of the engine and the fpr is in the valley:confused:

Thanks...

Yea you have to remove that. AC compressor goes to the pass side of the vehicle. Y bridge neck has to come out. Just use a small pry bar and it will slide out. Air intake needs to come off.

I just did one of these a couple months ago and removed them? Maybe i just like takin sheet apart? Or maybe its easier to do it that way? Can't be to wrong if all data said to take it apart that way. LLY and LBZ are different ya know. When i did my super diesel modded fuel pressure regulator back in 07 I didn't pull the bale connectors apart but had to on a lly

It is held on by a O ring. I just used a 6 inch pry bar and pryed and wiggled it until it came out. IIRC there is a tab that i pryed against. I used some assembly lube when installing it and pushed it right back on. Its been awhile but there was def a reason for me to take the allan bolt out of the bale connectors. I think it was a bracket. Can't really remember. If you don't have to take it apart by all means don't.

Alldata also has some specs that say ft lbs when they mean inch lbs.. but I really can't think if any reason the connectors rid to be ridun.. maybe ecc is correct though. Also it takes some finessing to get the horn in and out so don't beat youreslf up about it. Just take your time on that, it will piss you off. I can do mine like I'm blinded now, but hell I wanted to throw some shit the first couple of times. Just try not and break an o ring, there about 50 bucks from gm. But free to nothing if have a parker grainger near... The part is a r36 37 or something of that nature
