FPR in LLY

What are some signs of an FPR going out? Is desired frp higher than measured frp? Or is it the other way around? Typically how much difference is allowed between desired and actual frp?

I had two separate issue. First was the solenoid on the rail, it wasn't closing completely allows fuel to run back to the tank causing low frp. Second the housing for the fuel filter, it went bad would not hold pressure.

Mine has been going bad for like 40k miles , it will lope at idle sometimes but if I run marine two stroke oil in my fuel it doesn't do it
