Now working at an open pit gold mine. Unfortunately I don't have anything to read any DTCs. So I'm already F'd in the A.
First off what the truck is doing. The truck is gutless not sure if it's normal for the truck to rev to 2500rpm when in park as a safety but even when driving the truck doesn't go further than 2500revs. The truck feels like the cat is plugged. So I disconnected the exhaust at the V- band clamp. The truck is still gutless and feels like the truck has a plugged exhaust. After about a min of test driving the truck the truck starts to miss and slowly dies out.
Bring the truck into the parking lot. Try to do a brake stand and the accelerator docent work anymore.
Inside the truck the dash gauges don't work. The temp gauge will go to half all the way over the over heat back to no heat. Oil pressure the same thing no pressure up to less than half back to none. The cluster also says that engine power has been reduced.
Under the truck the cross members under then engine pan and trans support are smashed. The engine oil pan is completle messed. The trans support Semmes to be pushing the trans up but I dint think it's gonna be the cause of any of the problems.
All in all highly doubt that the truck has ever been serviced properly. Since this truck is at a mine a few people drive the truck. And to be honest the terrain here is not the best and these guys aren't always easy of the truck, and to top it off they are all Ford/Dodge lovers. Any ideas as to what I could start with? If I could get a code reader to get some DTCs and maybe get some diag charts to get this running.
