All I was told is "technology research for NASA" I'm just playing around with programming now. Never really do much 5 axis stuff personally. It's been fun though.:D

We always get a ton of no bids for inconel bands at work, to bad its such a damn pricey material

Well yeah it's pricey and tough on tooling. A 1 inch solid carbide endmill is 800-1000 dollars, and we are expecting to burn that one up in the 4 pieces we have to make. I've only cut the stuff 3 times in my life. The other 2 jobs were done on a much larger machine with lots of horsepower. Honestly hate working with the stuff.

I've never touched inconel but have some experience with manganese steel and overlay weld
