Here is a bowpress a buddy and I built over the winter (trailer jack, square stock, and some flat stock)...I was too cheap to buy an xpress.

It works very well...I have changed the string and cable on my Switchback and tweaked the tuning.

Thought some of you guys may be able to use the idea.

Nice I like it. that is different or I have not seen that style mine uses a hand crank winch.

A bow press is worth a million dollars for a bow hunter I use mine all the time great idea I bet it does work really good

Thanks for the compliments guys! This style press was designed about the time the parallel limb bows came out. I know what you mean Wes, I can't believe how much I've used this thing.
