I had one on mine for a while (till i tore it off on a driveway incline), I didn't notice any temp difference, however i really wasn't looking for that though.

Been on road for 3 days, towing. Day 1 had 25 mph tailwind almost all day. Didn't notice any temp changes.
Day 2+3 its been wet, snow and rain. I say that because I've had issues with autometer temp sensor getting wet and having false high readings. So, Idk, but my oil temp is reading 10-20 higher than normal. Fresh oil change with the same oil & filter brand as normal. Level is fine.

All other temps and oil psi seem normal

Notes:

Not all trucks have the attachment points for the airdam. Wendy and Casper did, Blue did not. Not sure why.

At least in theory, on an unlifted truck, MPG should improve slightly.

HOWEVER, the airdam is full collapsed by the time you hit 150mph. It needs to be braced for high speed operation.

I removed the one from my LML as it was too low and looked like ass. I see no difference in anything.

I think what I will do is this:

Part way thru a trip, while towing, I'll stop and pull the air dam off. Its an easy task. See if temps change. Got a trailer hooked up for Monday delivery. if the ground is dry, I'll do it monday.

fwiw. part number for the chevy, that fit my lbz, 3 inch drop, is 10386198. $36.50 out the door.

they also make a 1.5 inch one. IIRC (not sure) part number is 10386199, and it was more $

I put the 3" one on mine before we drove to Denver. I did get a little bit better mileage than usual as far as long trips go. I think I didn't get the full effect maybe b/c where my bumper was trimmed for the 20's I had to cut off the last 3" or so on each end to match the bumper and that left a lot more of the tire exposed. Also at the same time I made caps for the frame rails to direct the air downward ( I was bored and had sheetmetal tools at my disposal :D)

Ok i was too lazy Monday to stop and take it off, so I just watched the numbers. Oil temp is running higher. Also I have a temp sensor in the fuel line after the filter, and fuel temp is higher too. So in my laziness I was thinking... I read or was told (or am totally making this up) that the banks scoop will let more air up than the intake needs and the excess air from the scoop helps cool engine compartment. Yup I pulled the scoop off to put on the air dam.

So I broke out a drill and plastic cutting bit, put the scoop back on and hacked a opening in the air dam for the scoop.

I have the exact same trailer as last week, going to the same dealer, with almost the same weather conditions. I'll post back whatever happens.
