Well here it goes, I am new to this site but I have referenced it quite a bit. I have owned my LB7 since 2008 and have done a few things here and there but it is finally time to dump some cash into it and make the conversion to a lowered Drag/DD truck. I have had it parked for a while because my injectors started to go me and now I am finally ready to start my build!!

I live in Western NC, primary hobbies are fast trucks and cars and firearms. I drive a black and white slick top Dodge Charger with blue lights full time and big red trucks with red lights part time. That's about as exciting as my life gets haha.

I am excited about being a part of this forum!!

Not sure how close you are to Wilmington, Nc, but that's where Diesel Addiction is located. Holler at the guys over there and theyll get you setup with parts and top notch service.

It's worked out pretty great so far. Not sure why some people have such a problem with FB. It's a great way to get word out and communicate. If you don't like somebody then block them lol. Is what it is though!

I appreciate the warm welcome everybody! I live outside of Asheville so pretty much on the opposite end of the state from Wilmington lol. And as far as 1/4 mile tracks go the closest one is Bristol which is about an hour and 15 min away or Zmax in Charlotte.

Galot is staying 1/8 mile for now, from what I'm told. But will be an awesome track.

1/4 Mile tracks in NC:

Coastal Plains Dragway - Jacksonville
Fayetteville Motorsports Park - Fayetteville
Kinston Dragstrip (KDS Motorsports) - Kinston; although they are listed as 1/8 mile on most sites, they do have a 1/4 mile track. I will not run any truck that runs 11s or faster there in the 1/4 - trapping 120mph and trying to stop was scary.
Rockingham Dragway - Rockingham
Z-Max Raceway - Concord

There are a lot of 1/8 mile tracks in NC though.

^^^ What Dustin said. On a personal note, I ran my old LBZ at Kinston and even trapping at 106 and trying to stop was scary in a crew cab. I was in the left lane once and ended up going just past the road in order to stop.

Plus the guy does EFI tuning. Regardless of what people say about it, he can dial it in the way you want. If it runs too hot, he can adjust it. If it is too noisy, he can adjust for it. Want the max amount out of the truck, he prolly already has a tune for it but every truck is different and he will make it work.

Yes I had Dustin's tuning. I was getting around 17 mpg in city with it too. I also switched to Kory's tuning as well. I liked it overall. Every tuner has their strong points. Its your choice honestly. I cannot give an accurate comparison between the two's tuning because I built my trans in the switch over. I've seen one individuals truck run and I know Dustin has had a bunch of seat time in it tuning it. It runs very well for being a stock motor LMM.

I'm not sure what shops are over in your area OP. Dustin has been around for a while now and just moved to a bigger shop and bought equipment to help save his customers money and down time. I also know he has had some people come from further than where you are to have him work on their vehicle.
