hey all, i thought i'd post up some info on myself before i started posting around the site. i have a 04 AWD Tahoe that is turbocharged and runs low 12's in the quarter. i'm in the navy and currently live in Jacksonville Florida. if you click the vid link in my sig there are a ton of other vids of my Tahoe.

I'm here because i have recently decided to do a dmax (lbz) swap into my Tahoe. it may sound crazy to some, but that's what i want to do. for many reasons but mostly i want more torque, room to fit 8 people and be able to tow easier than i can now just to name a few. oh and because its almost PAID FOR!!
so i'm doing some research for mods and what works and what don't. i use hptuners for tuning (i've used it since 04-05 for gas). i've built many different rigs but this is my first diesel and i want to learn. that's the best part of the swap is that its all new stuff to learn.

The swap should be fun. There are a few out there Im just not sure that Ive heard of it being done with a light duty chassis.

Hopefully you can find a complete donor truck and swap all the running gear.

duraburb here in florida builds them. they call the tahoe version the "ss" swap. but i plan on running at least a 14bolt 9.5". but still thinking about a 10.5 swap. the 9.5 will bolt right in but the 10.5 would have to have the link tabs and coil buckets welded on. the new model escalade with the 6.2L have 9.5 14bolt with the same suspension as me.

but yeah, i plan to find a wrecked truck to get all the parts from.
