To avoid putting a burr on the block when removing harmonic balancer bolt, put a deep socket over a 10mm bolt to hold flywheel:

Actually our trucks have both and he said it right. The flex plate is thin and bolts to the torque converter. The flywheel is thick and has the starter teeth. The socket is stopping the flywheel from turning

Nope, factory LBZ flexplate. So far, I haven't had issue with the factory LLY or LBZ parts, so I'll continue to run them until I break one.

My thoughts exactly - I have a spare stock one on hand that I will swap on if mine breaks and then think about aftermarket. Until then "if it ain't (or hasn't) broke don't fix it"
