Fluid in pass-thru connector

So when diagnosing a defective TCM, when I pulled off the plug from the back of the Ally, there looked like some transmission fluid seepage in the plug.

Would this have been the cause of the TCM failure?

Should I order a MA replacement pass thru connector or is this a non issue. No leaking externally.

If it's leaking in the connector I replace the harness since they're cheap enough and extremely easy to do.

Ok, I've ordered the whole harness. I'll see if I can Google a how-to on the replacement.

My as well do the internal filter while I'm at it. Never been done and truck is at 163K miles.

Anything else I should do while I have the pan off? Stock pan.

Why not just replace the seal? We do it all the time.

In my case, being in Canada the earliest I can get the MA pass-thru seal is 2 weeks out. I can get through the dealer overnight the whole harness.
