fluctuating oil pressure

you guys that bent rods ever have little bit of fluctuating oil pressure? i noticed at idle mine moves up and down couple psi just enough to notice the guage move? kinda makes me think i have a pump issue or a bearing issue... or am i just being paronid as i've never noticed this till last couple weeks

I never noticed mine to bounce with a bent rod. i even drove it to my new house which was 25 min away from my parents place and oil pressure stayed consistant. new motor oil pressure stays consistant at idle too, no bouncing. maybe your gauge is going?

Hmm ya i can watch psi on my cts and it'll 24-25 psi or 24-23 psi just enough to make the gauge move on the dash and the cluster is pretty new it's outta a 06

lol hey i would be too! but 1psi fluctuation IMOP isnt something i would really be worried about. you should see the groove i had in the main and rod bearings from the old motor and oil pressure never fluctuated.
