Are all Duramax flexplate housings the same (e.g. Allison, 4L85E)?

I'm putting an Allison where a 4L85E used to be and don't want to wait until the trans is in the air to find out differently.

Thanks!

Flex plate where the TC bolts to IS different between Allison and 4L85
Mounting and TC bolt circle ate identical
This was a flexplate for a 4l85.. the Allison is thicker and has one less step than the 4l85 version

Malibu - Good to know. I'll add an Allison flexplate to my shopping list.

Mike L - I'm going to have to bend up new cooler lines, so I'm pretty open on that. I thought the input speed sensor was in/near the bellhousing. I've got a 2006 Allison. I'm looking for the piece between the block and bellhousing. Are there 4 different versions of that?

Where can I find them listed? I'm 2006 motor to 2006 trans...

I talked to a GM dealer. They show GM 97372295 as the part number for both the 4L85E and the Duramax. I plan to use a fresh set of bolts, but it looks like I'm good to go on the flexplate.

Thanks for the part number. :thumb:

I looked it up trying find the Plate and didn't realize it was included. Now I don't have to hunt for it. I attached a break down of what's included.
