I think i have found Garrett VNT/VGT controller, question, did they work good or what was the reason for them being discontinued? I am looking at using it on one of these new Danville Stage2R, I am just trying to find out if its worth it or not. I know these things are hard to find, Anyone have any insight?

they have to sell a lot of them for them to even be worth making, they have to get the parts and have everything set up to do it and someone making them, then when they don't sell any it's a lot of money wasted

If you find one make sure it comes with the software you can use on the computer to make changes.

I found one a number of months ago but it didn't have that software for the computer. I called fleece to see about getting the software and install instructions and was told they no longer support that product.

I talked to a number of people that had one of the controllers as well as fleece about them. From the people that had them it worked well for daily driving and a little playing around but it didn't perform as well for all out performance. From talking to fleece I was told that it didn't preform how they were wanting so they dropped the product.

This is just the info that's I've gathered from talking to people, I've not seen or messed with one in person. I look around from time to time for one so I can test VVT's on my LB7 but haven't found one.

If the one you've found comes with the software, install, instructions, everything else need for a reasonable cost I would get it.

I believe it is brand new and hasn't been used, so everything should be there , but I need to talk to the people that have it verify it. It just kinda hard to swallow 800 bucks on something with no support and may not work the greatest, especially if it gets twinned or doesn't like the stage2r.

I completely agree. The one I found was $500 but without that software I felt it wasn't worth the risk being I couldn't make changes.

For what I was told, it would work for daily driving, towing, and some light racing but getting the most out of the turbo was the hard part.
