Question: Flashscan V2

Merry Christmas guy's n gal's. I'm thinking of updrading to efi live and so is my friend ( he has an 08 LMM ), we were wondering if we had to use our laptops , because it looks like a handheld programmer and they say it comes with 2 tunes and 2 licenses so you can program 2 trucks, can we just use the tunes it comes with, if so what are the HP levels and what can we do with the transmission tunes. P.S. please give me some detailed feedback thanks and Happy Holidays

It doesnt come with any tunes, it comes with the ABILITY to tune 2 vehicles. I highly suggest buying from McRat, Guy Tripp (Trippin - SoCal Diesel), or one of the other vendors on this site if you are an EFI Noob. McRat for an all out race tune, Guy for an awesome milage/tow tune.

From there you have an excellent base tune to learn from.

A word of warning, its a bit overwhelming and can get some tuning "beginners" (and experts alike) pissed off at times

If you arent interested in spending lots of time logging runs, tweaking, making changes, retrying, etc ... Id stick with a nice handheld programmer such as PPE.

 

[EFI Support]

FlashScan V2 currently requires PC/Laptop connection for flashing. This requires you to connect your PC to FlashScan and your vehicle. In future this will be a standalone function, in that PC connection will not be required. When ready, this will be a free software update.

Our product is tuning software, it provides you with the tools to custom tune your truck. As SIKDMAX said, many of our vendors will provide you with a tune when you purchase our product through them to get you started. From there you can further modify their work to suit your application or write you own tune.
