Flashscan problem

updated firmware and boot load with no change.

Problem is the flashscan powers up just fine off the OBD2 port, but using the USB/laptop flashscan 99% of the time wont power up. the screen turns "on" but stays blank(just lite up blue) and one LED blinks twice and thats it. ive tried different usb cables, different computers, with no luck. so I updated the firmware and boot load and still no luck.

only way to get it going is to unplug and re plug the USB cable from the flashscan until one time it desides to power up. ive unpluged and repluged 80 times before it finally powered up to updated firmware and boot load. very frustrating. ive tried wiggling the cables/different positions thinking its a bad connection in the flashscan but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

Does it turn all the way on when you plug it into the truck?

yes. thought if I pluged into truck then laptop maybe it would work. but no such luck.

I had that problem with mine before. It was because I was plugging in the USB cable before the laptop was fully booted up or out of sleep mode.

not my luck. if anyone has any ideas an email would be great. Im outta town this weekend and only get email to my phone and kinda need the flash scan. thanks for all the help guys!
