Well just got back from a long weekend . Towed the 5th wheel with the twins, all I can say is it is a very nice mod for pulling. My trailer s 11, 800, plus 1500# more stuff, towed great. Boost was 15-22#, egt was 800-1200 average with highest being 1300. Power feels smoother and its quite in the truck. I went small with the s480 over the 72 but I am not going to the track only I pull with mine. So to everyone who said twins are best for towing your right.

thus why i have 8k axles since 7k dont stop for crap IMO.. towed boss's trailer (tandem 7k) with a P2 all the way up.. almost jack knifed my truck because the trailer couldnt keep up with the truck, sad thing it was empty and new brakes :( though for the 7k brakes defense i have substantially bigger brake system on my GMT455 then the GMT800 have. with 14"/13.5" rotors and dual 66mm piston calipers on all corners its a beast of a braking system..

600.00 each from lippert 5/8x11 hub centric hubs self adjusting brakes with grease spindles. with these 8ks i am rarely in B2 on the P2 due to it will lock the tires up with 12,000lbs gross on the trailer tires on dry payment.

bout the only option outside swaping axles for better brakes.. is put 13" EOH disc brakes on for a 7k. 1500-1800.00 for the setup is alot for a person that only puts 2-3,000 miles on a trailer is kinda steep.
