First time to the Track in my new Truck

Hey guys,

I am new to the Midland / Odessa area of texas, and there is a quarter mile strip openning up this upcoming weekend and I am gonna go see what my truck will run.

I am not new to drag racing, but I AM new to racing a diesel. I intend to 4 wheel launch it since it has its front end beefed up.

Tips? Tricks? Advice??

Drop torsion bars all the way down and drop tire pressure

Start out at about 1200 rpms on your first launch and work your way up. When I had a stock turbo and street tires 1700 was about as much rpm as I could launch with and not break traction. Track prep, tire type and preasure will all have an impact on how hard you can launch.
