first time ever to the track tonite. its been raining for the last month, only 2 non rainy days in the past 30 and today it cleared out around 10am so i went to the track tonite. local track is only 1/8th mile... have to drive 2 hours to a 1/4 so figured get things figured out close to home

truck is an 02 lb7 with 225,000 miles on it.

mods are as follows:

homebuilt twins s475/stock ihi
4" exhaust
tie rod sleeves
suncoast 3/ 1050
efi tune by Ben (duratothemax)

full weight (full tank of fuel, subs etc) pyo's with 245's and 30psi all around, lowered 3" all the way around, bars unwound upfront and shackles in the rear.

best time was 8.49 @ 83.18 mph with a 2.01 60ft

2nd best was 8.52 @ 83.04 with a 2.02 60ft

couldnt get it to launch smoothly, lots of wheel spin/ hop

anywhere from 10-17psi launches.

but i think the mph is suggesting high 12's .... any input here??

i have a lift pump, just have been to lazy to install, and there is a ton of room left in the tuning, only seeing 1150* in the 1/8th and i cant get it over 1200* on the street from 0-100mph + making about 40psi.

there is 0 smoke launching, just a haze all the way down and a slight puff when first staging.

Pretty impressive for a stock fuel system. Get that lift pump on so you can run some more fuel through that thing. Lots of room for improvement in the 60' times too. Were those two runs your best 60s?

all of my 60' fts were 2.0xxx couldnt seem to do any better, other guys at the track were saying it was terrible tonight and they even announced that the traction was bad because of all the rain we've had i guess

Not sure how it works in the 1/8, but as a general rule in the 1/4, every tenth you can drop off your 60' time is about 1.5 tenths off your ET. On a good track you should be able to do 1.70s pretty easily so that's almost a half of a second off your ET.

I ran a 8.30 @ 82 MPH with a 1.75 60' time...Weight was 7450, IIRC DA was 3500...

If you can get it to launch a bit harder, it should go a very low 13 or high 12...

I ran 20 or so 12.3x passes the only difference in any one of them was the 60'

Some of it depends on why your 60 was slow , if you come out of the hole under the charger it will affect you far past the 60 ft . If traction was the issue then it could vary greatly . i know from my 12.0 runs to my 11.8 runs only change was 60ft.

12.04 was 1.80 60ft ............. 11.80 runs was a 1.64
i have varied from 12.2 - 11.80 depending on 60ft and launching variables
