First time sled pull

We'll pulled are county fair tonight, used 4lo truck would not let me change to hi side lol, first hook was mod diesel 8000 I weight in at 7660lb went 270.68 and was yelled at for stopping to soon lol ended up 2nd in mod class, I thought I was done saw the flag but he wasnt flaging me he was moving futher out the gate they said I could of went 300+ , Pulled open and went 228' this time I was on the rev limiter at 3700 in 3rd lo and was affraid to shift to 4th so I let it hang and ended up 3rd in that class. videos uploading to the diesel garage will post link.

I know now lol elhunter06 got me by 10' wish I pulled some were else before that to get a feel for it, they said if I did get out of it I should of got over 300' I was moving along pretty good on the open class pull wish I upshifted to 4th was bouncing off the rev limiter for awhile and was afraid I would fall off if I shifted that late in the pull

It's one of those things you think of after the fact "if I just wouldn't have lifted", but then there is always the next pull to change how you do it.
