got my new posi installed. and took it to a local pulling event. nothing serious just the local class. it consists mostly of cosmetically upgraded cummins. but them boys just couldn't blow enough smoke to beat me. most of there towing mirrors were folded out to, but that just wasn't enough. I did a fourth gear four low launch. actually ended up being to low of a gear. it quit spinning when the sled got up to speed and started to break loose again when the sled got heavy at the end. but im proud to say I pulled a 281.10 ft pull with a messed up wastegate at the time and to low of a gear. im proud to say the first place truck was a 07 lbz. he told me he pulled a 306 but I heard a 296 on the speaker, either way he had me beat. send the dodge boys home crying, I was cranking my T-bars back up thinking I had to have placed tenth, when a man came over asking my friends for me by name. they pointed to my legs hanging out from under my truck, I climbed out from under there and the man handed me 145$$ and told me I had placed second. I was shocked, but proud.

I mean theres no way the top two trucks were d-maxes right?
we have ifs and my mirrors don't even fold up or down just forward and backward. I will admit with my wastegate being messed up I out smoked a lot of them going down the track. but didn't blow as much smoke as them in the pits that's for sure. my friends have the video I have yet to get ill try to get my hands on it, I had a go pro in my back window to that vid needs to go up to.

its a pretty sweet little rush once that turbo lights. ive got a lot of tough dmaxs and nasty 6.4s that are at all the pulls i got to. the workstock class is very competative around here and its getting more ridiculous every year

I love the posi, the only time it opens up is rolling into the throttle in the rain. if you romp it from a stop it spins both. but once it opens it stays open till it regains grip and starts over. on dry roads its amazing posi's every time going right or left. my gov loc was very picky would only lock up going left. I recommend that if not the Detroit or the grizzly.

our 'local' class is a joke, theres no weigh in, no inspection, no drivers meeting, no hitch height rule, i pulled with a six pack in my belly to. out of a cooler in my bed they didn't check when I got there. no helmets. and I think you can ride passengers to. I was in the same class as my buddys 2011 bone stock 6.7 power stroke. he said his truck weighs 10,200 pounds with him in it, 20 trucks were on the list to pull I bet only 15 pulled. so next year I know how laid back it is and how small the class is. so I think ill take first next year if I don't break it.:thumb:

I didn't care what place I took I just wanted people to hear a dmax spooling up and letting out on the clutch!
