We had this truck built back in 07 to service our buckets out in the field. We never needed it so it sat for 6 years.

It's an 06 7500 2wd 7.8 Duramax with a 6 speed Allison 3000. We had a custom bed built for it and installed a 15,000# knuckle boom. 5150 Customs did the paint job. It only has 1700 miles on it.

Today me and the old man moved a connex with the boom and the 420 Cat Backhoe.

I get a few of the inline duramaxes come into work. Older Isuzu truks and 6500 series use them often. There's not much more room to work on them than there is on the v8 6.6 setup

There are a few companies that have tuners for them. I believe TS and maybe PPE. The turbo will definately have to be swapped for something bigger to make good power.

I'll swing by and get pics tonight.

I wonder if since its inline it will handle power better then the V8 versions more like the bottom end of a cummins that can support 900hp on stock rods

they use a Denso ECM.

in other words, the fuel system and ECM is nothing like the 6.6 Dmax. I highly doubt EFILive would ever support it due to the very small market...
