After about 3 months of issues with my truck I got it back, new Headgaskets, ARP studs and a bunch of new fuel return and pressure lines. Started out with me pulling the motor to do HG's and studs, took me 3 weeks to do, put it all back together and it ran!!! Woo hoo!!! Until the next day, I checked the oil, and it was full of fuel!!! WTF
Took it to my buddies shop and we pulled the valve covers and ran it, we found a injector line leaking on the drivers side, ok we take it off clean it up and reseal it, good!! I take it home drive it for a week take it on a trip about 400 miles total, I get back check my oil and I can smell fuel again????? Hmmm not alot in there barely can tell, so I changed the oil thinking maybe some stood there from before????? No luck fuel smell is back and is starting to get worse.........pull the covers again, no apparent leak????? Ok maybe a bad injector??? All balance rates are good, it runs perfect just down on power??? Finally he had time to look at it again and he ran a dye through the fuel and we checked it again........can't spot the leak even with dye and a black light??? We had the Tech 2 so we ramped the rail pressure all the way up.......I had to load a race tune that I had to spot the leak, passenger side rear injector line was leaking, Ordered a new line ($100.00) holy shit for a 6" line???? But oh well its fixed now I think????? Hopefully???
