The new ones that oil the C3s better? If so I'm jealous!

y? you think they shoulda tire shined it?:roflmao: Big dipper did mine without cleaning it.
Just a looks kind of thing. I too am into looks. Something comes out dirty it's going back in clean and maybe even powder coated! No it doesn't make you go any faster its just cool to look at when you're under the thing workin on it/changing fluids etc.

I figured it was a looks thing just bustin ballz,But IMO when you do something like that then install it everything else looks like ass because its not painted pretty, then it turns into this massive project! So unless you are restoring the whole truck :f-that::nod:

The only reason I say that is i know how critical cleanliness is when working on a trans and it just seems like the whole case would have been cleaned inside and out. When my old boss use to build trannys we stuck the whole bare case in a steam cleaning machine before re-assembly. I guess I also feel that if I dropped $5000 on a tranny build, it had better be spotless when I get it back or I wouldn't be happy. I am anal though.

I always thoroughly clean the trans inside and out before reassembly, but thats just me, I also not in a time constraint when I build them. If the customer is in that big of a hurry, they can take it elsewhere...

Looks as clean as a cooker would get it. A cooker won't make it look new. Making it look pretty takes time and time is money.

Trans looked clean to me. If the trans came from back east it will have nasty marks on it from salt and rust and elements. That cannot be made to look pretty. Painting it would have looked better but would hold more heat. Take your choice.

It was steam cleaned, Mike hit on head, its been a plow truck since new.

I figured that as I have seen many. Elements like salt and such attack the aluminum and make it look like shit but do not hurt it. I would probably paint it just to shut people up.
