Went out to truck this morning and it wouldn't unlock. Figured it was the key fob, nope. Broke in under the hood to plug a battery charger up. Immediately blower motor came on and truck unlocked.
Battery is dead as I've ever seen one, and without a key blower motor is on, can't turn it off.
Take off battery charger, blower motor is still on....what gives?

wondering if it could be a resistor, or a short, guess I'll have to check that.

that is a good one!!! I wouldnt think it would be the resistor, doesnt that only controll blower speeds... I know that the resitor harness was an issue with our trucks but it was always obvious when it was bad b/c the old harness and plug would be melted, and the blower would normally work on only one speed.

Search for bad ground straps. Broken gound cables cause all kinds of SCREWEY chit to happen. Drivetrain to chasis, chasis to body and body to drive train should all be connected together.

extremely low battery. These things sure take a long time to charge(Optima).

But I still can't figure out why my blower motor keeps kicking on, changing fan speed and such....... I figure this may be what's draining my battery.
