Fifth wheel skid plate

I recently purchased a new fifth wheel triple axle trailer 18,000lbs empty.I installed a 20,000 lbs reciever in my truck. A person I met on a job mentioned I should greese the skid plate or it will cause premature tire wear on the trailer or truck Im not sure never asked.Is any one familliar with this? my fifth wheel reciever manuals are french, italian, german,no english(thank god the installation instructions were english). thks in advance He mentioned you can get the greese at rv shops.Ill check there as well.

I use a nylon plate that fits over the king pin.

You should be able to pick it up at any caming store including camper world.

If you don't use the nylon plate, grease is what I used before i changed to gooseneck in this truck.

I got a teflon/nylon plate on my reciever. I'll take a pic if you want it.

Nylon Plate is best. Inexpensive, Clean and Durable.
